Greetings, Hornfrogs!
I am proud to serve as your Assistant Principal at Thomas Haley Elementary School! This is my 16th year in elementary education, during which I have had the opportunity to serve in a variety of roles. I began my journey in education as a P.E. aide before transitioning into the classroom, where I taught bilingual and dual language social studies, GT science, and GT math in grades 3–5.
In 2021, I moved into a district-level role as the District MTSS Math Coach, supporting campuses in strengthening instruction through data-driven decision-making and tiered supports. I then served as a Teacher Specialist in Duncanville ISD before returning to Irving ISD in 2023 as the Math Interventionist at Thomas Haley Elementary, prior to moving into my current role as Assistant Principal.
I am deeply committed to student-centered instruction, academic growth, and equitable access to learning for all students. I value strong collaboration with teachers, families, and staff to ensure high expectations, purposeful instruction, and a positive, inclusive school culture. I believe every child has unique strengths and thrives when they are supported, challenged, and empowered to reach their full potential.
I hold a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Mathematics from the University of Texas at Arlington and earned my Principal Certification from UTA in 2022. I also hold a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise and Fitness Management from the University of Central Oklahoma.
As a member of the Thomas Haley community, I live locally and my two children attend Thomas Haley Elementary—this campus is truly home for our family. I look forward to partnering with students, staff, and families for an outstanding school year as we work together to support academic excellence, social-emotional growth, and success for every Hornfrog.
